Canada Youth Arts Development foundation (the Foundation) was established in 2011 as a Non-Profit organization. For the past five years, it has been devoted to exclusively charitable activities and events for BC youth’s comprehensive development. It was a pity that the previous accountant, Ms. Ruohan Dong, CGA, failed to provide enough information required by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), although the Foundation did provide her with all the supporting documents that qualified us for charitable registration. Having reviewed the correspondence between CRA and her, we noticed that her responses were stated in a very broad, vague, and incorrect manner.

 

Among all the charitable activities and public events conducted by the Foundation, the Youth World Cup Live Painting Competition is only one of the events that the Foundation is committed to. The memorandums provided by the previous accountant did not offer any information on all the other regular events in various forms, including summer and winter camps, workshops, seminars, courses, campaigns, all of which are non-profit and are exclusively committed to charitable and educational purposes. However, it was also true that the board of committee of the Foundation also failed to check upon and follow up with the accountant, as well as the process of the application. Therefore, the objection is to ask for a second chance of providing all the missing and mistaken information. Please kindly reconsider our application, since it is crucial for the survival and future development of the Foundation.
